The ASME@WAU Music Festival will take place right before the final round of 2024 AVIMC. Some of the faculty members from the music festival will serve as the adjudicators for the final round.

The 2024 American Virtuoso International Music Competition (AVIMC) is OPEN to accept entries from singers and instrumentalists (piano competition, violin competition, viola competition, cello competition, bass competition, guitar competition, woodwinds competition & brass competition, chamber music competition) of any nationality who embody a powerful artistic vision and captivating stage presence.

Our goal is to identify exceptional young performers and assist them in launching their international careers.

Winners will be given the opportunity to perform recitals at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall!

Additionally, all participants will receive complimentary masterclass opportunities with adjudicators across various categories.

American Virtuoso International Music Competition has always been committed to uncovering and providing opportunities for music learning and practice. Now, we’re giving the other study opportunity. AVIMC judge, Professor Daniel Geiss, has been profoundly impressed by the performance abilities and potential of several selected participants.

Despite his hectic schedule, Professor Geiss and AVIMC have generously decided to conduct exclusive, complimentary lessons for them, aiming to elevate their skills and provide valuable advice and opportunities for their future musical endeavors.

Exciting news for all past participants! These lessons will be open to participation from previous competitions as well. Exciting News! 🎻 The strings winner of the 2023 American Virtuoso International Music Competition, the violist Haixiang Ge, has truly wowed our esteemed partner Klanglabor! Following a meticulous evaluation of his exceptional performance, we proudly recommended him to Klanglabor, and they are thrilled to extend an invitation for him to participate in not just one but two incredible projects.

The first project is an extraordinary opportunity to perform in eight concerts at the prestigious Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg this December. As if that’s not amazing enough, the second project, scheduled from the 18th to the 26th of December, offers a full scholarship covering hotel and transportation expenses (https://klanglabor.net/). We’re committed to providing opportunities to nurture the talents of rising young musicians like Haixiang Ge.

We are thrilled to share the success of the 2023 AVIMC onsite Final Round that took place on August 26th! Everything was in place, the performers dazzled with their brilliance, and the atmosphere buzzed with electrifying musical talent.

But the excitement doesn’t end there! Following the Final Round, we continued the journey with enlightening and inspiring masterclasses for all contestants. These sessions provided valuable insights and learning opportunities, enriching their musical journeys.

Alongside the AVIMC music competition masterclasses offered during the onsite competition, CUA’s music school generously invites onsite contestants to receive complimentary lessons from their esteemed professors, enhancing the learning experience and nurturing emerging talent.
